Are we okay with the fact that Jesus spent His first night on earth in a feeding trough? Is that “good enough?” How about our welcome of Him? Do we have a place prepared to receive Him or is it “spare space?”

Unexpected Joy

“In the suffering, there is great joy, Father.” What could someone mean when they say that? Joy is something that often sneaks up on us, and we find it in unexpected places.

What Are You Afraid Of?

We’re told that the day of the Lord will come “like a thief.” Is that troubling? Do we anticipate an encounter with Jesus like a homecoming or an interruption? God helps us with that fear.

When Jesus calls us to “Watch,” He doesn’t give specific dates or times. However, the admonition to be ready remains. How are we “saving the date” for Christ in our busy lives? Do we even want to? “Watch!”
